We have answers

These are the answers to our most Frequent Asked Questions. If what you’re looking for is not there, try reading our How It Works page.

If you still have questions, reach out to us and we’ll do our best to answer any question or doubt you may have.

We buy singles (effectively small collections), collections, and unsorted bulk.

For singles and collections, please submit your list. We will value the cards and send you an offer. If you accept the order, you just have to send them to us, we’ll verify against the list and condition, and send the payment.

Bulk (low value cards, normally with market price below 10p) is bought… well, in bulk. Send us the numbers you want to sell and we’ll get back to you.

If the offer is above £150, we’ll pay the postage.

Absolutely.

Shipping should always be done with insurance (e.g. via Royal Mail).

If you prefer, instead of bank transfer after we receive the cards, when an offer is made and accepted, you can send us an invoice through PayPal Goods & Services. This should provide both you and us with the protection needed.

The service we provide allows you to quickly dispose of unwanted cards and receive fair compensation without the hassle of having to sell and ship the cards individually or in small groups.

We pride ourselves in offering a service that is safe, fair, fast, and uncomplicated. Selling cards individually is hard work, and our service avoids that for you.

For a full explanation of gradings and how you can better grade your own cards, please see our card grading guide. This is extremely important, and by fair the most often reason why cards are returned or de-valued.

No. We do not buy any proxies or playtest cards, even if clearly marked as so.

Selling proxies as original cards is illegal, and will be dealt with aggressively.

We have put together a helpful pricing guide that should answer your questions on this topic.

All cards should be packed as securely as possible. Expensive cards are better protected in toploaders. Not all cards need to be sleeved, but make sure the packaging allows for no movement of cards inside. Hardbacked envelopes are a great way to pack a small number of cards, while large numbers should be packed inside a cardboard box.

Shipping should provide enough insurance to cover the value of the cards (check with providers the level of insurance for each shipping option).

We cover shipping when value is over £150, within reason (please do not ship 10Kg of bulk and a very expensive card just to meet the £150 threshold – yes, we had this happen).

We have three preferred ways for payment that have worked well in most transactions:

  • Bank transfer: we can transfer the agreed value to a bank account of your choice after the cards arrive;
  • Paypal: we can pay via Paypal after the cards arrive (no charges);
  • Paypal Goods & Services: You send us a request for funds before you send the cards – any refunds, returns or disputes are dealt via Paypal. Logically this is the service that gives you the most security and trust, but there is a 2.9% charge from Paypal.
